Dangers of the Cold

coldbillboardThe bitter cold continues to blanket the region.  East Central Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin are consistently seeing temperatures in the low-to-mid negative teens.

Not only are the frigid temperatures frustrating, but they could be dangerous to your health says Pine County Public Health Preparedness Coordinator Pauline Amundson.

Amundson says when temperatures are as low as they are now, people become susceptible to hypothermia, frost bite, and frost nip.
