SCAREDY CATS
Zoo-keepers in China say their tigers have grown so tame that they’re frightened of the chickens they’re supposed to eat. One zoo keeper said: “I have been trying to interest them with live chickens but it was quite a funny scene. The tigers were so scared that they wouldn’t go near them. “One chicken passed out and the tigers did eventually approach it – but then it woke up again and squawked and they ran for their lives!” They’re enot looking at putting wild tigers in with the former circus tigers to teach them how to hunt.

DAUGHTER NAMED AFTER CAR
Tony Richardson and Smantha Smyth just had a baby. They were on the way to the Dorset, England hospital the other morning around 4:30 when they realized they weren’t going to make it. The baby was born in the back seat of Ms. Smyth’s Mom’s KIA. So they opted to name the little girl KIA instead of the pre-planned Tilley. Kia has now offered the couple a new Kia Carens – the same model baby Kia was born in worth $25,000. Michael Cole, managing director of Kia Motors, said: “All of us at Kia are delighted for Tony and Samantha and flattered that they have called their new baby Kia after she was born in granny’s Carens. “We would like to welcome Kia to the Kia family and wish her a wonderful life.”

HOME WRECKER
Michelle and Kevin McCarthy got the shock of their lives when they returned home to find a 90ft crane had cut their house in two. The crane was being used to pull up a 150 year old oak tree, which was too heavy causing the crane to topple into the center of their house basically slicing it in two. Nobody was in the house in Santa Rosa at the time and nobody was hurt – a dog in the garage was also unharmed.

BREAKING AND DECORATING
Police in Herscher, Ill., are looking for someone who broke into a home and left behind Christmas decorations. A woman and her kids left for the weekend and when they returned returned Monday morning, they found their place decked out for the holidays with ornaments and Christmas lights. Nothing was taken.

The winner will get $3000 in shows. The stillettos must be at least 3 inches high for the 180 yard race. 32 teams of 3 will compete. Volunteers from the Red Cross will be standing by in case of accident, but last year’s competition wound up without a single twisted ankle. There are teams with names like “Yes We Can”, “Sexpistols” and “Superwoman”.

SPEAK UP !
Police in Deltona, FL. say Carlie McDuffie, 24, walked into a Family Dollar store and told an employee to hand over money from the register in a quiet voice that the clerk either didn’t hear or didn’t understand. Carlie then repeated the request in the same hushed voice. Again the clerk didn’t get it, so Carlie said, “forget it” and left the store. That’s when the clerk realized what was going on and the cops tracked down the suspect.
