Third Person Dies from Sunday Crash

A Sunday morning accident in Forest Lake left two people dead at the scene, Monday, a third person was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the accident.

Eric Sprouse, 18, of Wyoming passed away at the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. Sprouse was the driver of a Chevy pickup, that the Minnesota State Patrol says went through the median and started to roll, eventually striking a Toyota Camry in the southbound lane. Sprouse was thrown from the vehicle. The State Patrol reports he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The Camry was driven by James Holland, 45, of Chanhassen. He and his four-year-old son, Jude Holland, were killed in the crash.

The Chisago County Sheriff’s department assisted the Minnesota State Patrol at the scene, which occurred around 11 a.m. at I-35 southbound and Highway 8.
