Celebrating the Bridging the Dream Scholarship
PINE CITY, Minn. – Please join the Pine Technical College Foundation in celebrating another successful Bridging the Dream Scholarship Campaign. We will be thanking our donors and honoring the achievements of our scholarship recipients while enjoying the best wine, appetizers, and entertainment this community has to offer.
The City of Pine City’s Voyageur Bottle Shop will sponsor a wine tasting event alongside the Foundation’s annual “Taste of Pine County.” This year Java Joe’s Bistro, Nelson’s Market, Grand Casino Hinckley, Wagonmasters and Wings North are participating. “Taste” a sample of each restaurant’s menu throughout the evening, and vote for the 2009 “People’s Choice Award” to be presented that night.
Walmart has donated a 26” Element LCD Television and Wyoming Machine provided an Acer AOD250 10.1” Netbook PC for a raffle drawing to be held at 6:45 p.m. Just $5 a ticket. Need not be present to win. Tickets are available at the Pine City Area Chamber Office and the Pine Technical College Bookstore. There will also be a silent auction to benefit the Bridging the Dream Scholarship featuring a four pack of Minnesota Vikings tickets valued at $200, a Wings North sporting clay and meal package, and more.
Doors open to the tasting event at 5 p.m. with entertainment by harpist Sally Ahlgren. A donor recognition program will begin at 6 p.m. The program will feature student speakers, donor awards, the 2009 “People’s Choice Award” and the raffle drawing. The evening will conclude at 8 p.m.
