A 19-year-old was charged Tuesday for crashing his car into one of the exhibit buildings at the Pine County Fairgrounds on Friday around 5 p.m. Terry Krueger of Pine City faces four charges including careless driving, obstruction of legal process, no insurance and no drivers license.

According to the criminal complaint, Krueger and a friend were doing “doughnuts” with their vehicles, when he lost control and the car crashed into the side of the building.  It’s alleged that Krueger took off the license plate on the car and took out all information from the glove box so authorities would not be able to identify the vehicle. Witnesses say he then jumped into the car of a friend and left the scene.

Krueger turned himself in to police Sunday night.  He is due back in court on December 16th.

The estimated cost of damage is $1,5oo.
