Second H1N1 Vaccination Clinic Scheduled for Pine County
A second public clinic in Pine County for H1N1 vaccinations will be held on Tuesday, November 10TH from 1:00PM-4:00PM or as long as vaccine supplies last. This clinic will be held at the Pine City WIC offices, Pine County Public Health, at the new courthouse, 635 Northridge Dr, Pine City. We have a limited supply of both injectable and nasal spray form of vaccine. Pregnant women will receive only the injectable form.
The clinic is only for:
-Household contacts of children under six months of age (These adults must be under age 50 because they will be offered only the nasal spray at this first clinic).
-Children six months of age up to 4-5 years of age (not including kindergarten age yet)
-Children ages 5-18 years old with high-risk conditions
All pregnant women on WIC that are residents of Pine County can come in to receive their H1N1 vaccination during regularly scheduled WIC clinic days Wednesday or Thursday, November 4th-5th in the Pine City WIC office, 8:30-3:30 as long as vaccine lasts. Pregnant women will receive the injectable form of the vaccine.
Pine County Public Health requests individuals stay home from the clinics if you have a fever or are feeling ill. They say there will be many opportunities to receive the H1N1 vaccine. Many clinics are planned for the future and there is expected to be enough vaccine for everyone who wants it as time goes by.
