An unnamed man who was afforded a thrill ride with South Africa’s version of the Blue Angels, South Africa’s Silver Falcons air display team, got a thrill ride all right. While riding in the airforce jet the man accidentily pulled the black and yellow emergency handle between his legs. He was immediately ejected from the jet and floated back down to Earth on a parachute which opened automatically.
OOPS
Elizabeth Olson, of Terrace Park, OH. is looking for her lost wedding ring. She recently had it enlarged, but she thinks she knows where it might be. In a kids trcik or treat bag. She thinks it may have slipped off her finger when she was throwing candy into the bags, buckets and pillowcases. Olson is asking people to keep an eye out for the ring and to return it to her if they find it.
DOUBLE OOPS!
James Fearn of Edmonton, Alberta, says he also lost his wedding ring in a trick or treater’s bag. Mr. Fearn, who has been married for 35 years, said he is planning to put up posters asking locals to be on the lookout for the ring in the children’s candy bags.
SPACE HOTEL ON TRACK
The Galactic Suite Space Resort will cost you $4.4 million for a 3 night stay. Developers say they are on track for a 2012 opening of the resort. You get an eight-week training course on a tropical island. 43 people have already reserved spots.
GREEN CABINET MEETING
A coupkle of weeks ago the Maldives Islands cabinet met underwater to highlight global warming. Now add the Nepal government. Nepal is to hold a cabinet meeting on Mount Everest to highlight the impact of global warming on the Himalayas ahead of next month’s climate change talks in Copenhagen. The entire cabinet will travel to Everest base camp at an altitude of 17,585 feet for the meeting.
