P.C Schools Report Number of H1N1 Absences to MDH

Parents with students at Pine City schools will receive a letter Friday that the school  is reporting the number of absences related to H1N1 to the Minnesota Department  of Health.   There were 38 students absent in the high school, Thursday,  and 48 students absent in the elementary school.

Schools are required to report to the MDH when there are 36 or more students absent at the High School and 42 or more students absent in the Elementary school or more than 3 students in a classroom with H1N1 symptoms.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported Thursday that there were three more deaths related to the H1N1 virus, bringing the total to 10 deaths in the state due the the virus since April.
