Thank you to the 60+ attendees at our Tea Party, Sunday, Oct 18th at the Pine City American Legion.

Craig Westover, from the St Paul Pioneer Press, was our lead off speaker, followed by Sue Jeffers from KTLK-FM (100.3). Both speakers gave a very good presentation.

(For those of you who missed the meeting, Sue is much cuter than Craig is)

Rudy Takala, candidate for Minnesota House District 8B (Pine, Kanabec and the top of Isanti Counties) was our Master of Ceremonies.

Mike Cummins, candidate for US House of Representatives, District 8 gave a presentation on the condition of US District 8.

Sue answered more questions from the floor.

Abe Mach, from way up in Willow River, Mn, gave us his thoughts on the state of affairs in Pine County.

Randy Christenson, candidate for Minnesota Senate District 8 told us about himself and his future goals as a senator for Minnesota District 8.

Justin Eichorn, candidate for US House of Representatives in US District 8, was backed up by his wife Brittany and young son William. Justin told us about himself and his goals.

As a result of the Pine City Tea Party on the 18th, another Tea Party is scheduled for Nov 15, 2009 from 1 PM to 4 PM at Freddies, Hwy 65, in Mora, Minnesota. Mark your calendars.

Another 2 Tea Parties are in the planning stages for Kanabec County.

A Tea Party is also in the planning stage for the Moose Lake area before the first of the year..

All in all, The Tea Party was a success and all of the attendees were satisfied.

Remember the next “Simply Right” is at Tobies on November 19th at 7:00 PM in Hinckley. “Simply Right” is a non-partisan, discussion oriented group aimed at promoting those conservative ideas that Republicans, Democrats and Independents may have in common

I had a great time, thanks to all for the warm welcome. Events like this sure beats yelling at your TV doesn’t it?

Who’s the “Editor” at WCMP, and since when have radio stations posted letters to the editor?
