Betty Stoffel talks to the group about life during WWII

Over a dozen people came to the Pine City Senior Center Thursday to reflect on life and times during world war two.  Betty Stoffel with We R’ Able, a group for adults with disabilities, helped coordinate the event, which included sharing personal experiences, watching a World War II DVD, and discussing the history of the war.  She says the program is all about honoring and remembering those who were forced to sacrifice so much.

This is the third such program around the area.  Stoffel has helped coordinate similar programs in North Branch and Grasston.  She said the idea sparked for working with military veterans throughout the area.
