Two Women Charged in Beating-Burglary
Two Hinckley women are charged with assault and first degree burglary for a September 27th incident at Vangordon Road.
Danelle Diver, 19, and Jayme Bengston, 20, both face over 60 years in prison if convicted of all charges.
According to the criminal complaint, Diver and Bengston forced their way into a residence after a fight with two other women over money they were owed. The complaint states that Diver beat one of the two women with a baseball bat which resulted in the victim suffering head trauma, a laceration on her lip and face swelling.
Bengston allegedly attacked a second woman by punching her in the face and pulling her hair.
One of the victim’s children were at the residence at the time of the alleged attacks.
Both Diver and Bengston are charged with three counts of first degree burglary, each charge carries a penalty of 20 years in prison and/or a $35,000 fine. Diver is also charged with second degree assault which is punishable by up to seven years in prison and/or a $14,000 fine. Bengston also faces fifth degree assault. If convicted she could serve 90 days in jail for the charge.
