While assisting Franks, Bartell was struck by a 1997 Lincoln Town Car driven by Tirrell Corgard, 70, of Roseville, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Minnesota State Patrol Sergeant Matt Langer:
Bartell was pronounced dead at the scene.
Franks suffered only minor injuries. None of the other drivers were injured.
