Kerrick Man Sentenced for Rape
Joseph Seul, 46, of Kerrick will spend a minimum five years behind bars for a rape in 2008. He was sentenced for second degree criminal sexual conduct on October 1st in Pine County Court by Judge Krista Martin.
According to the criminal complaint, Seul used various objects including a vacuum cleaner to penetrate the women, then strangled her until she fell unnconscious, and kicked and beat her with a belt.
Police noted in the criminal complaint that the victim had red marks and bruising on her arm, broken blood vessles and bruised and swollen eyes.
Seul pleaded guilty to the charges on June 8th. He has a previous criminal history for beating another woman in 2002. In that case he pleaded guilty to 5th degree assault.
