Break-In at Concession Stand at Ball Fields
The concession stand at the Pine City softball fields was the target of a pair of break-ins this week. Pine City Parks and Recreation Coordinator Lara Smetana tells Red Rock Radio she was informed of the first incident Sunday night. A second break-in was discovered on Wednesday.
Smetana talked about the crimes at Wednesday’s city council meeting.

Smetana says the cost of replacing each door knob is $250. She says this is the first incident of its kind since the summer of 2008 when the concession stand was broken into and Smetana says around $2,000 of equipment was stolen including softball bats.

Pine City Mayor Jane Robbins also reports a theft this week at the welding building of Pine Technical College.
