Nippon Airways will position staff near the boarding gates in terminals to ask passengers waiting for their flight to visit the bathrooms before takeoff. The airline hopes that the weight saved, from lighter bladders, will lead to a five ton reduction in carbon emissions over the course of a month.
WET MEETING
Lawmakers in the Maldives will hold a cabinet meeting underwater to highlight the threat of global warming. While there, President Mohamed Nasheed and his cabinet will sign a document during the dive, calling for global cuts in carbon emissions. “Obviously the hand signals that divers can use are limited, so the amount of work the cabinet are going to get done will be limited,” said a spokesman.

Clerks at a convenience store in Waterloo, IA. have been robbed twice in a month. They were not i n the mood when they thought they were being held up again by a rambling man, so they quickly snatched the cash from the register put it in a bag and threw it at the man. One thing. He wasn’t holding up the place he was just drunk. The 32-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and interference.
ANOTHER WEIRD WEDDING
Jack Holsinger, 61, dressed as Dracula for his nuptials, was driven to the altar at the Rockin’-R-Ranch in Columbia Station, OH. in a hearse and carried to his spot in a coffin, where he was met by his vampire bride Connie Spitznagel, 44. The couple had a pirate for a best man and a minister dressed as a psychotic killer, Jason from Friday the 13th. Holsinger said the theme was his bride’s idea.
