Two Pedestrians Hit by Car in Chisago Co.

Two pedestrians were hit by a car Saturday night in Chisago County on their way home from the 2nd annual Stacy Lent Fire Departments fundraiser party.

According to the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office, Doris Eileen Lent, 66, of Lindstrom and Dennis Dean Mell,66, of Stacy were hit by a vehicle that was traveling south bound on County State Aid Highway 30 in Stacy.  Mell and Lent are twin brother sister.

Michael Dennis Reid, 66, was also crossing the road at the time of the accident but was not struck by the car.

The driver of the 2003 Subaru Legacy was  Cynthia Ann Boyce, 37, of Wyoming, MN.  She told police she did not see the three in the road.

Mell and Lent were airlifted to metro hospitals.  Their conditions are unknown.  The Minnesota State Patrol and Chisago County Sheriffs Office are investigating the incident.
