Man Arrested in Pine Co. for Chase
Pine County Sheriff’s officials were involved in a chase this weekend in the northern part of the county.
Deputies received a call, Sunday, from the mother of John Paul Prachar,27, stating he was drunk and driving a four-wheeler. Deputies were also in the area responding to a call of a possible assault and spotted Prachar driving the four wheeler driving down Tory Lane outside of Willow River. Deputies began to follow Prachar.
According to the criminal complaint, deputies activated their emergency lights but Prachar refused to stop. Deputies eventually lost Prachar and could not locate him. They later received a call from Prachar and deputies told him to turn himself in, but according to the criminal complaint, Prachar said he was unwilling. Deputies located the ATV, but Prachar was not in the area.
On Monday, authorities received a call that Prachar was at his home and went there and made the arrest. The criminal complaint states that Prachar denies being part of any chase.
