Pine City Cuts the Ribbon on School Projects

School officials, parents and students officially cut the ribbon on the nearly $7-million additions and renovations at Pine City Elementary School. School started last week, but a special open house was held, Sunday, to give parents a chance to tour the new projects.

The additions include nearly 24,000 square feet of new construction, five new classrooms, and a new gym and locker rooms. Arola says with the new space, the school is capable of expanding in the future, which means new programs and opportunities for Pine City students.

Prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony, there was a short dedication ceremony. Superintendent Darwin Bostic says the success of the projects is due to the work and vision of not only the staff at Pine City, but the entire community.
