State Patrol Officer Hit By Drunk Driver
A Minnesota State Patrol officer was injured this weekend when his squad car was hit by a drunk driver. Erick Sjodin suffered non-life threatening injuries when a car, driven by Timothy Langguth, 61, of Moose Lake crossed over the median and broadsided the squad car.
The accident happened on I-35 southbound in Carlton County.
Langguth is now in critical condition with a broken femur and head and facial injuries. He was taken to St. Mary’s hospital in duluth.
The accident occurred Saturday morning before 1 a.m.
