Clean-Up Begins in North Branch After Tornado
The North Branch community continues the clean-up process after a tornado reportedly touched down, Wednesday afternoon. There are no reports of injuries. The bulk of the damage happened at the North Branch Area Middle School, where there is damage to the roof, water pipes, and several bleachers.
North Branch Community Relations Coordinator Patrick Tepoorten tells Red Rock Radio the damage assessment process is expected to take a week. School staff and Chisago County Emergency Management will inspect the school throughout the week to gauge the magnitude of the damage.
Tepoorten went on to say, “We are going to do everything we can to make sure school starts on time.” Classes are scheduled to begin September 8th.
