The public is invited to a Pine City Community Garden class on composting and vegetable storage on Thursday night, August 27th at 6:30 p.m. at the Pine City Community Garden at Chaleen Park located south on 3rd St. S.E. just north of 1st Ave. S.E. and south of the Snake River in Pine City.
In case of rain, it will be moved to the Robinson Park band shell. “Composting Your Garden and Kitchen Waste” will be discussed by Paul Johnson, Pine County Master Gardener. “Storage, Canning and Freezing Vegetables” will be covered by Kelly Appeldorn, Pine County Extension Nutrition Education Asst.
This class is being presented by the Pine County Extension Master Gardeners, Nutrition Education Program and the Pine City Horizons Community Garden Steering Committee for gardeners and the public.
