PHASE Shows Off New Home at Open House
Area residents received a first look at the new PHASE building in Beroun, Tuesday, at an open house. PHASE (Pine Habilitation and Supported Employment, Inc) is now in its 40th year of servicing and working with adults with disabilities in Pine County and recently moved from Pine City to their new home at the old Yesteryear Sales building off of Interstate-35.
PHASE director Tim Schmutzer says the new facility will open new doors for the non-profit group.
The new facility is 14,000 square feet, which Schmutzer says is three times the size of the former home in Pine City. The building consists of furniture and automotive repair stations. Schmutzer says PHASE hopes to bring recycling to the facility in the future, as well. He says the families of PHASE clients seems pleased with the new building.
There are currently 130 PHASE clients in Pine County.
