Highway 169 in Mille Lacs County scheduled to open next week
BAXTER, Minn. – Motorists traveling Highway 169 north of the Rum River Rest Area to just south of Onamia next week will be using the newly opened southbound lanes as crews complete the resurfacing project. The lanes are expected to open mid-week.
Motorists should expect short-term lane closures while crews remove the temporary crossovers and widening that had been done along the northbound lanes of Highway 169 to accommodate traffic during the resurfacing work.
This $4.5 million project is one of nearly 100 Minnesota road and bridge projects that are being funded with $502 million in federal economic stimulus dollars.
All work to be completed by mid-August.
