Farmers’ Market in the Park opened Friday in Robinson Park in downtown Pine City.  This year, 13 vendors were on hand to kick off the season, that is up ten from last year when only three vendors were set up on the first day. Eventually in 2008,  as many as 20 were selling items in the park.   Marketing Coordinator Jennifer Peterson say that momentum carried over to this year.

Peterson says that more vendors are prepaying so they can reserve a prime spot.  She says this is different from last year when most vendors paid on the day of  Farmers’ Market in the Park.  Peterson encourages all area residents to stop by the Market, which is open on Friday and Saturdays (starting Sat, July 25th) until the final week October 31st.
