Friday, July 10th, 2009 at 10:48 am

A nine-year-old North Branch boy is back at home after fighting off an attempted abduction, Wednesday, near his families mobile home.

The boy was taken while throwing out the garbage by a suspect who is described as a 30-to-40 year old white male with light brown hair and a goatee, wearing a red shirt and hat.  The car is described as a white four door.

The boy escaped by jumping out of the back seat when the car slowed to make a left turn on County Road 30.

North Branch Police Chief Steve Forner discusses the investigation:

Thank goodness, that boy was alert enough and escaped. Now lets find that creep and lets throw him out of a speeding car.
