Al Franken is a joke. His whole life has been about making jokes, at other peoples expense. He has made jokes about rape. Cute. Franken will be nothing more than a yes man to the Dems. He will dutifully do whatever they ask of him. He is the 60th vote. Thats it. I don’t think I would be too proud to work for a man like that. But, hey, at least she has a job. Can’t say that about a lot of people these days. As for my last name, what does it matter to you? What are you gonna do, call me so we can chat?? Personally I don’t need or even want to know anyones last name. It is irrelevant.

Alana Petersen is dedicated, experienced, educated, honest and reliable. Al Franken’s choice of Alana Petersen as State Director is a choice that assures that Minnesotans will be well served. Alana Petersen gave of her vacation time, nights and weekends from April to July to make sure Franken’s Minnesota staff would be ready if and when Franken was certified as Senator.

You couldn’t force me to vote for Al Franken if you dipped me in boiling oil, BUT I congratulate Ms. Petersen on her accomplishment. In comparing her enthusiastic demeanor with that of the chair of the local Republicans who seems so eager to talk down his own party (read the next post and listen to the sound bites) its no wnoder Repubs took such a shellacking last election.

Alana has a good connection to outstate Minnesota. Whether the Senator realizes it or not, this is a real plus. Alana is very competent . And if you know her, or get to know her, you will quickly realize her interests are for all persons and their care, and the care of the communities they live in, regardless of political influences. Anyone approaching Alana with a request or information for the Senator will be taken seriously and handled with respect and interest for the matter at hand. AS for Shannons remark on these postings. When feeling courageous to make nasty remarks about someone you probably don’t even know, for goodness sake, at least have the —- to put
your last name.
