Highway 95 detour lifted
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The detour on Highway 95 east of Cambridge has been lifted, reports the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The detour was necessary to allow crews to replace a box culvert at a stream between Skogman Lake and Fannie Lake.
Motorists should remain alert for lane closures on Highway 95 as road preservation work continues between Isanti County Highway 2 east of Cambridge to the Isanti/Chisago county line.
Crews will resurface the roadway, including shoulders; construct shoulders and turn-lanes; and install or repair culverts and guardrails.
Traffic will be single-lane through the work zone controlled by a pilot car and flaggers. Work will be done Monday through Friday during daylight hours and occasionally on Saturday.
Work operations will suspend Fourth of July weekend from Friday, July 3, until Monday, July 6.
The project is scheduled for completion by mid-July.
Hardrives Inc. of Rogers is the prime contractor for the $2.6 million road preservation project funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
