Yes I agree. Doug was the ringleader to build the sattelite courthouse, from a loophole in the law that Washington county used and now they are closing them. Hinckley would have been now be empty too.

Also disappointed in the Board for waiting with the buildings empty for 2 years to start to work on the issue. They are now probably doing it as they are nearly 4 million dollars in the hole, look at the current revenue fund. The City has been the only grown ups.

What possible right does Doug Carlson have to make any comment whatsoever about the City of Pine City's capabilities. He is the pot calling the kettle black.

“I have been extremely disappointed in the actions taken by the city of Pine City, its leadership and its elected officials.” - Commissioner Doug Carlson

Let's see, Doug Carlson is the only one left on the board from when they tried to build a "sattelite courthouse" in Hinckley, which would have made county operations less efficient. When that got rejected by the chief judge, Carlson tried to move the county seat to Hinckley, which was rejected by Pine County voters. The board then spent $28 million on a new courthouse, which has been open for less than two years when they realize the new building doesn't have enough space.

I don't think the people of Pine City are too impresed wiht Carlson's actions, either.
