50° and Overcast at 4:33pm in Pine City

Friday is Digital Day

THERE’S A MAJOR CHANGE FOR TELEVISIONS AROUND THE NATION FRIDAY AS TV STATIONS MAKE THE SWITCH FROM ANALOG AND BEGIN BROADCASTING DIGITAL SIGNALS.   IT MEANS SOME PEOPLE WON’T BE ABLE TO WATCH PROGRAMMING IF THEY’RE NOT PREPARED. UP TO TWO MILLION HOUSEHOLDS AREN’T READY FOR IT AND LOST THEIR TV SIGNAL BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T BUY DIGITAL CONVERTER BOXES.

ANY TV SETS THAT ARE HOOKED UP TO CABLE  OR SATELLITE FEEDS ARE UNAFFECTED NO MATTER HOW OLD THE TV IS. BUT IF YOU USE AN ANTENNA AND YOUR TV WAS MADE BEFORE THE YEAR 2000 YOU WILL NEED A SMALL CONVERTER BOX THAT SELLS FOR $54.
