Schreiber said the high speed rail line between Minneapolis and Duluth with possible stops in Pine County will benefit from the Eight-billion dollars set aside for high speed rail in the federal stimulus package.

The NLX is now considered within the Tier 2 stage of project readiness by MN-DOT and Passenger Rail Forum.  NLX is recognized as a project that could be eligible for engineering and construction funing in 2010.
