11-year-old Boy Killed in ATV Accident

An 11-year-old St. Paul boy was killed on Memorial Day, the result of an ATV accident in Lorain Township, East of the Village of Frederic.

Samuel Miller was the passenger on the Polaris Ranger utility vehicle driven by his nine year old cousin. The two were riding on a private driveway when Miller’s cousin lost control of the vehicle, which overturned, pinning Miller underneath.  Relatives removed the boy and began administering CPR, however medical personnel declared Miller died at the scene.

The Northland Ambulence Services, Northland First Responders, Frederic and Lorain Fire Departments all responded to the scene.

The death and crash remain under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Department and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
