Two Charged in Kroschel Township Meth Lab Bust

Two people were arraigned Thursday in Kanabec County court for a series of charges related to a meth lab bust on Tuesday.  Evonne Molnar, 51, and  Bradley Marvin Purdy, 50,  remain in the Kanabec County Jail.

They are charged seven crimes including with first degree manufacture methamphetamine, controlled substance crime in teh fifth degree-not small amount of marijuana, and aid and abet controlled substance crime in the first degree-manufacture  methamphetamine.

The two were arrested this week when Kanabec Deputies executed an arrest warrant for Molnar.  When approaching the Kroschel Township home, authorities say they detected an odor of marijuana.  Police observed a small amount of marijuana along with a methamphetamine pipe inside the residence.

The North Central Drug Task force conducted an interview with Molnar who admited to manufacturing meth inside the home.  The task force and Kanabec County Deputies obtained a search warrant and discovered multiple items used in the manufacturing of meth.

Both were arrested and booked.  Bail is set at $80,000 each.
