Burnett County Still H1N1 Free

The Burnett County Department of Health and Human Services and St. Croix Tribal Health Clinic continue to monitor the H1N1 virus.  There are 414 confirmed cases of the virus in Wisconsin, but still no cases in Burnett County.

Parents of school aged  children are recommended to pay close attention to influenza like symptoms.  If a child has symptoms, they are to stay home and not attend school or go into the community except to seek medical care for at least seven days from the onset of symptoms or for 24 hours after symptoms resolve.

Symptoms include: Fever, Headache, Body Aches, Sore Throat, Congestion, Cough.

There are 21 confirmed cases of the H1N1 virus in Minnesota, according to the Department of Health.
