Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Reports Suspected H1N1 Case
ONAMIA, Minn. – The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe reported a suspected case of H1N1 in District I of the Mille Lacs Reservation in Onamia. As a precautionary measure, Nay Ah Shing schools – upper, lower and daycare – will close to students on Thursday and Friday while staff disinfects the premises. School staff should report to work as usual.
In addition, the Nay Ah Shing clinic in District I will only be open for triage consultation. Band members or Nay Ah Shing parents with questions or concerns should call the clinic triage nurse at 320/532-4163.
The case has been sent to the Minnesota Department of Health for testing.
