Red Rock On Air

Pine City residents gathered at the Armory, Sunday, for the Community Rally.  The event was hosted by Horizons, a group working to fight local poverty. Those in attendance shared and listed to ideas for growing Pine City’s community.

Approaches to Reducing Poverty:

Approach 1:

Focus on early childhood, youth, and schools.

Approach 2:

Create more and better local jobs.

Approach 3:

Help people meet their urgent needs.

Approach 4:

Join with others and create change

Approach 5:

Build individual, family, and community assets and hold onto them.

Approach 6:

Fight Racism

Approach 7:

Invest in basic community resources
