Pine County Public Health Responds to “Swine Flu”
Testing by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the illness of a Minnesota resident was caused by the H1N1 novel influenza virus, also known as “Swine Flu.” Rocori Middle School in Cold Spring is shut down until next Wednesday as a result of the confirmed case. Pauline Amundson is the Public Health Preparedness Coordinator with Pine County Public Health. She says Pine County is preparing for a possible case of the H1N1 virus locally.
