How To Save the Fur Post

The Northwest Company Fur Post is in jeopardy of closing because of potential cuts to the Minnesota Historical Society. In an effort to balance a $ 4.6 billion deficit, Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, the House and Senate are proposing cuts between seven and 15-percent to the Historical Society. This could ultimately mean closing three historic sites, including Pine City’s Northwest Company Fur Post.
