Pine City area resident, Alana Petersen, will serve as Al Franken’s Minnesota State Director, if he is determined as the winner of the U.S. Senate seat.  Franken’s office made the announcement Monday.

Petersen spent the last five years working on Congressman Jim Oberstar’s Minnesota staff, serving as his Political Director and Director of Field Operations.

Petersen is technically not hired because the Senate race remains unresolved.  Franken currently has a 312 vote lead over Republican Norm Coleman.
