Loading ...Kalin’s Vet Day Bill Signed by Pawlenty
Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty signed legislation Friday for an “Honoring All Vietnam Era Veterans Day.” The bill stemmed from the work of one local legislator.
Representative Jeremy Kalin worked with Secretary of State Mark Ritchie on the bill. With the governors signature, the bill means a day of honor and remembrance will take place June 13, 2009 on the mall at the Minnesota State Capitol recognizing the service and sacrifice of all Minnesota Vietnam Veterans.
Kalin’s office reports more than a thousand Minnesotans served in Vietnam.
