Teen Hit By Car, Hospitalized in Cambridge

A 17-year-old Milaca boy was taken to the Cambridge Medical Center, Wednesday, with non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a van.  According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the boy ran in front of a van driven by a 16-year-old Milaca girl, in front of the high school.

The van was traveling east bound on Highway 23 approaching the crosswalk when the accident occurred.  The boy hit the right front of the van, flipped into the air, and landed on the highway.

The boy suffered a leg injury and bruising according to the report, but the injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

The accident occured just before 3:30 p.m.
