Former Twins Star, Oliva, Announced for EXPO
Former Minnesota Twin Star and 1964 Rookie of the Year, Tony Oliva, is coming to the Red Rock Radio 2009 EXPO on Saturday, April 18th from Noon – 2 p.m.
Oliva plans on meeting with fans and signing autographs.
Oliva played with the Twins from 1962-1976. His career started with a “bang” winning not only Rookie of the Year honors in 1964, but the American League Batting Title, in the same year. He is the first player to accomplish both in one season. He went on to win two more AL Batting Crowns, in 1965 and 1971. He is an 8-time All-Star. The Twins retired his famous #6 in 1991.
