[Audio] Habitat for Humanity Sandstone Project Picks Family

habitatThe Habitat for Humanity Project in Sandstone, slated to start this summer, has picked its family.  The organization will announce the winner Saturday at the volunteer sign-up at the Grace Lutheran Church in Sandstone. Executive Director Wayne Eller says Saturday’s events truly put the project in motion.

The winning family was picked on three criteria:

1. Need for housing

2. They must be willing to work on the project

3. The must be able to pay a no interest, no profit loan on the home.

Eller adds that volunteers are essential to the project, and will need plenty during the course of the work.

The project is scheduled to begin sometime this summer.  The volunteer sign-up in sandstone begins Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
