Oberstar’s Staff to Hold Listening Sessions in Pine City and Rush City Friday
Staff with Congressman Jim Oberstar’s office plan on holding listening sessions in Pine City and Rush City this Friday. Oberstar’s staff start the day at the Rush City Community Center from 10 a.m. – noon. They will then stop by the Pine County Courthouse in Pine City from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
The purpose of the listening sessions is to provide help and information for those who have a lost Social Security check or need assistance with any other federal government program.
In a statement released Tuesday, Oberstar said “Many people don’t realize it, but one of the biggest jobs of a Congressman is to assist constituents who are having trouble with the federal government.” Oberstar added, “I have a staff of highly trained professionals who can help cut through the red tape and get answers.”
Those who are not able to make it to Friday’s listening sessions can get help by calling Congressman Oberstar’s North Branch office at (651) 277-1234.
