Loading ...Man Sentenced in ’05 Traffic Death of Harris Resident
Three and a half years after a fatal crash in Fish Lake Township, the man accused of causing the accident was sentenced to prison. Todd Michael Johnson, 30, of Isanti was sentenced Monday to 24 month in prison for Criminal Vehicular Operation.
Johnson was the driver of a vehicle that ran head on into a vehicle driven by Michael Robert McKnight of Harris. McKnight died as a result of the crash. According to the criminal complaint, Johnson was driving while under the influence of methamphetamine.
The accident occurred on August 19th, 2005 at County Road Eight and 460th Street.
According to the Chisago County Attorney’s Office, Johnson is required to serve two-thirds of his sentence in prison, and the final third on supervised release.
