Oberstar: Water Quality Bill Will Create 48,000 Jobs
Washington DC – A major water quality bill that would help build new wastewater treatment plants, clean up pollution hot spots on the Great Lakes and create 480,000 new jobs passed the U.S. House of Representatives today by a large bipartisan margin. “The agenda for clean water belongs to this generation,” said Congressman Jim Oberstar who is the chief author of the Water Quality Investment Act (H.R. 1262).
