Former Judge Candidate Guilty of Child Porn Possession
A father of five and former candidate for the Osceola municipal judge seat pleaded guilty Monday to possessing child pornography.
Jason M. Pape, 77, of rural Osceola Township admitted to the charges in a U.S. district court. Pape was indicted in November.
An investigation by the New Richmond Police Department, the Polk County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI found three computer hard drives and a thumb drive that contained images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 15th. If convicted Pape could face of to 10 years in prison.
