knutson1The fourth of four teens to enter a plea of guilty for a string of burglaries of local bars did so, Friday, in Pine County court.  Spencer Knutson, 18, pleaded guilty to four counts of third degree burglary, each count carrying a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.  The remainder of the charges were dropped as part of the plea deal.

Knutson admitted to being the “lookout” during an October 7th burglary at the Crickett Bar in Rock Creek.  He also admitted to breaking into and taking merchandise, including video games and alcohol, and money from Maverick’s Bar, Ryders Bar, and the Village Inn.  Fellow teens Kaitlyn Nosbush, Michael Schouveller, and Derek Marihart already entered pleas of guilt in the case.

Knutson has no prior criminal history.  The Department of Corrections will conduct a presentence investigation.  He is due back in court for sentencing on May 8th at 10 a.m.
