The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Pine and Burnett counties until Midnight. Five to eight issues of snow is predicted in Pine City, Hinckley, Shell Lake and surrounding areas.
A rumble of thunder is also possible during the afternoon, with heavy snow at times.
A winter storm warning means heavy snow is anticipated and snow fall rates of one inch per hour or more are expected during the day.
