Names of the victims are not being released until the family is notified. A 61-year-old male died at the scene and a 66-year-old female died at the Kanabec Hospital of “multiple stab wounds,” according to the sheriff.
A gun was also involved, but it not known if it was used in the crime.
Sheriff Schulz says there is no relationship between the victims and the suspects except financially. “They had a financial issue,” said Schulz.
Schulz says the Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 calls from the residence. Hohenwald and Seiberlich were arrested at the scene. Schulz says the two were in the home from anywhere between 10-15 minutes.
Both suspects have a criminal history.
Schulz described the scene as “horrific” and said, “It’s been a very bad day.”
