Two Vehicle Crash in Mille Lacs Involving Nine, Teen Critical
A 16-year-old is in Critical Condition after a Saturday afternoon accident in Mille Lacs County.
Alan Moos is receiving treatment for serious internal injuries at the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. He was one of nine people in the two vehicles. All were examined, the other eight were treated and released. Moos was wearing his seatbelt.
Moos was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Jeffery Moos,37, of Milaca that failed to yield at a stop sign. Moos’ 2005 Buick LeSabre pulled out in front of a 2005 GMC Yukon driven by a 42-year-old Edina man. The Yukon collided in the center right side of Moos’ vehicle.
A 10-year-old in Moos’ car also suffered minor injuries including facial lacerations and a leg injury.
The accident happened on Highway 169 and County Road 12 at milepost 184 around 4:30 p.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol and Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
